Thank you from your winner Kirsty

I can’t believe I won! Thank you so much to all the students who took the time to vote and ask such interesting questions. They certainly stretched my general knowledge. I’d also like to thank the other scientists for being such good sports, especially Austin and Sarah. I loved taking part, especially in the live chats, where I typed faster than ever before! I also really enjoyed the Ask section where I tried to take a little more time to answer your questions in greater depth. I am planning on spending the money on training to design new and exciting activities that I can bring into schools. I’d like to then bring those activities into the schools that joined in the live chats, so hopefully I’ll be able to see some of you in person in the very near future! Kirsty

We’ve counted, checked and rechecked the votes since yesterday and now it’s game over for… AUSTIN This leaves just Nike and Kirstyto fight it out for the £500 prize tomorrow. What would they both do with the money, you ask? Nike says “I would give one of my voters a chance to be a scientist for a month — I would give him or her the £500, and he or she would work with me for a month in my lab” and Kirsty says “I’d like to attend training on designing activities to take into schools to make science even more exciting!” The competition is hotting up and the scientists are pulling out all the stops to secure your all important final vote. Only you decide who gets the £500 prize. Not your teacher, not the other scientists. Ask them more questions to help you decide who should win – … Continue reading
