Nano particles might be useful in the next generation of computers, as a lot of work is going in to developing organic computers and computers operated using light .Both of these methods will probably rely on using parts that are on the nanometre scale, such as proteins, DNA and quanta (packets) of light.
Yes, nano particles such as FULLERENES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullerene) can help make more powerful computers. By more powerful, I mean computers that are MUCH faster while still the same size. They’d also be able to store more information. They’d also be able to solve problems that would take “classical computers” longer than the age of the universe to solve. Check out this video !! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyX8E4KUkWw
