      Lots of sleeping!!

Seriously, probably travel a bit – was a big traveller in my 30s, but haven’t done much since the kids arrived – and maybe write a book or two, if I can think of something to write about. And find a nice holiday home somewhere sunnier than Manchester…!! Maybe in Southern Europe.

I’ve worked overseas twice – in Sydney (Australia) for a month or two at a time back in the early 90s (answered a Q about this), and in the USA for a whole year. My slight regret is never having worked in a country where English WASN’T the first language, so that I would have had to learn to speak one out of French/German/Spanish fluently. As it is I speak bad German, worse French and terrible Spanish.

I think I’ll use the time to catch up on all my crafty projects that I don’t currently have time for. I make jewellery, hats, clothes and lots of homemade things like vanilla extract. I’d also like to see a bit more of the world, as I don’t currently have the money to do it right now. I’ve visited other labs overseas but I’ve yet to spend any significant amount of time overseas. It is on my list of things to do.
