• Question: i love snorkling too! how does the snorkling equipment work?

      A simple snorkel is just a tube from your mouth to the air, so when your face is in the water you can breathe normally to and from the air above the water.

      Scuba (short for ‘”Self-contained underwater breathing apparatus’), where people have a compressed air/oxygen tank on their back and can be completely submerged, is much more complicated. You have to be taught how to do it and learn things about how to calculate how long your air/oxygen will last, and what difference it makes how deep you go, etc etc. It’s interesting physiology, actually, but can be complicated. I think Sarah said she was a Scuba diver, so if she sees this maybe she can tell you more.
