• Question: do you like burgers

      I really do! I like making my own with just beef or lamb, with plenty of tomato sauce, mustard and salad, with crispy coleslaw on the side. I’m so hungry now!

      I do – first had one in the US when I was a kid, and I used to ask for them every year for my birthday meal from age 8 until about 18. I remember my dad even brought a little charcoal grill (mini barbecue) back from the US so we could barbecue burgers outside. This was in the early 1970s, so we were the only people we knew with a barbecue, and the neighbours used to come and watch him cook with it!! I know that’ll be hard to believe now.

      My favourite toppings are garlic mayonnaise or hot chilli sauce, BTW.
