Favourite thing to do in my job: My favourite experiments are live cell time lapse experiments using fluorescent proteins because they produce very beautiful data. They are also very useful for obtaining information about the location of my favourite enzyme at different stage of cell division.

I completed my PhD four years ago and since then I have been working at the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute. I have become interested cell division, in particular in the mechanisms that cell use to correctly copy themselves and their DNA to become two identical daughter cells.
Cell division is a vital process and enables tissues to grow, expand and regenerate. During this process a single cell must make an identical copy of its own DNA and this is then physically separated into
